CENTROCAR, with its head office in Portugal, registered with the Commercial Registry Office of V. F. Xira under the single registration and legal person number 500061270, coordinates the activity of its retail centres and workshops, is responsible for second-level customer support and technical issues, manages the centrocar.com website, the CENPARTS and Centrorent service, and promotes the brands represented in the portfolio.
Without prejudice to the fact that they carry out their activities using the represented brands, under representation agreements for the commercialisation of equipment and the provision of associated services, the dealers and workshops are autonomous entities and are not legally integrated into the represented brands. All references to the represented brands in this Privacy Policy include only CENTROCAR and not dealers/workshops outside the group.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA
CENTROCAR is responsible for processing the personal data of its customers and/or potential customers who fill in their details and submit the Consent Form for CENTROCAR Marketing Communications via the following page: link.
The branches and/or workshops (the branch/workshop chosen by you, the branch of your last purchase, the branch/workshop of your last service/repair or the branch/workshop geographically closest to your address) will be responsible for processing the personal data of Centrocar customers and/or potential customers who have consented to receive marketing communications by completing the Centrocar Marketing Communications Consent Form.
Although this Policy describes the use of your personal data by subsidiaries/workshops, they may collect your data independently. You may at any time contact us directly or the subsidiary/workshop regarding any changes or questions concerning the use of your personal data.
COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
Your personal data will be collected and processed in the following situations:
- If you fill in your personal details and submit the Consent Form on this Home Page; and/or
- If you purchase and/or use CENTROCAR equipment, products or services
- In the second case, the commercial relationship may constitute the figure of the soft opt-in, a theme that is already reflected in ePrivacy, specific European Union legislation that overlaps with the GDPR.
There is an exception called the ‘soft opt-in’. This means that consent is not required if you are sending marketing message about similar products and services to your customers/clients or thoseyou have negotiated with to provide products or services, as long as: You give them the opportunity to opt-out when you receive their contact information; and You give them the opportunity to opt-out when you send them subsequent messages. This processing is not based on consent, but rather the legitimate interests processing conditionand can only be relied upon by the organisation that collected the contact details, not third parties.

PURPOSES AND GROUNDS FOR USE OF PERSONAL DATA
Your personal data will be collected and used for Customer Service and Marketing purposes (communication of information and products and services), under the strict terms selected by you in the Consent Form.
Under the data protection legislation in force in the European Union (the General Data Protection Regulation), the use of personal data must be justified by at least one legal ground for the processing of personal data. You can consult the explanation of the scope of each of these grounds.*
The legal basis applicable to the collection and use of your personal data for customer service and marketing purposes is your consent.

WHAT PERSONAL DATA CAN BE COLLECTED
The following categories of personal data may be collected through the channels and services described in this Privacy Policy:

- Personal Information: Date of birth; marital status; household; driving licence (type); profession; requests (e.g. information, quotation); retail centres/workshops (chosen by you, of your last purchase, of your last service/repair or geographically closest to your address); hobbies; preferred method of payment; preferred channel of contact; company name.
- Identification data: customer number, contract number
- Customer history: Customer satisfaction ratio; offers received; equipment(s) purchased, including information on model, configuration, purchase date, registration date, serial number, order date, delivery date, owner, price; warranty information; residual value; financial information; part, accessory and product purchase details; data collected during branch visits (e.g. orders, request information, sales consultant responsible, service history); campaign/response history; optional customer data on equipment purchased from other manufacturers; participation in events (local, company); complaints history
- Equipment utilisation data: Maintenance history; fuel tank level; autonomy; Core TMS data; outside temperature; location (including pick-ups and deliveries) or location of equipment park.
- Equipment usage data: number of hours, number of kilometres, year of manufacture
- Data from the CenParts Customer Portal: If you have registered with CenParts, the following data may be used: details of how you have used the Portal, the date and time and nature of your requests, your IP address, data about the device you use to interact with the Customer Portal.
SECURITY OF PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED
We use a variety of security measures, including authentication tools, to help protect and maintain the security, integrity and availability of your personal data.
Although the transmission of data via the internet or website cannot guarantee complete security against intrusion, we and our service providers and business partners endeavour to implement and maintain physical, electronic and procedural security measures designed to protect your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection requirements. Among others, we have implemented the following:
- Restricted personal access to your personal data on a “need to know” basis and only within the scope of the purposes communicated;
- Transfer of data collected only in a secure and confidential manner;
- Protection of information technology systems through firewalls to prevent unauthorised access to your personal data; and
- Permanent monitoring of access to information technology systems with a view to preventing, detecting and stopping the misuse of your personal data.
HOW LONG PERSONAL DATA IS KEPT
We keep your data indefinitely and only for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
Once the maximum retention period has been reached, your personal data will be irreversibly anonymised (the anonymised data may be retained) or securely destroyed.
For the purposes described in this Privacy Policy (customer service and marketing) your personal data will be kept until you request the withdrawal / cancellation of your consent.
DATA TRANSMISSION/SHARING AND SECURITY
CENTROCAR is an international group. As such, your personal data may be accessed by our suppliers or service providers located in countries outside the EEA (European Economic Area), for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, where data protection legislation may be less stringent than that in force in the EEA.
We guarantee that your personal data that is exported outside the EEA will be processed in accordance with appropriate security measures.
Your personal data is stored on the protected servers of our suppliers/service providers and is accessed and used exclusively under our policies and standards (or equivalent policies and standards of our suppliers/service providers).

RECRUITMENT
By completing the registration form for recruitment processes, you formalise your application, consenting and authorising that the data collected by CENTROCAR be processed for the purposes of recruitment processes that may be initiated during the next 12 (twelve) months. At the end of this period, this application will no longer appear on the list of active applications, so you must re-apply for new recruitment processes.
Applications from minors are not accepted.
The data collected may be shared with other CENTROCAR Group companies, a full list of which can be found in this Privacy Policy. Within the scope of its legitimate interest, CENTROCAR will also process the data collected for the purposes of:
- i) fraud prevention and detection,
- ii) network and information security,
- iii) website development and maintenance,
- iv) provision of technical assistance.
Data will be processed on the basis of consent and may also be used to fulfil legal obligations or in the situations indicated above that correspond to a legitimate interest of CENTROCAR. In the latter case, processing will be carried out in accordance with applicable legislation and in compliance with users’ rights.
Under the terms of the legislation in force, you are guaranteed access, rectification, amendment, objection to processing, portability, deletion and restriction of processing of your personal data, via the CENTROCAR customer helpline, by e-mail rgpd@centrocar.com or by telephone 220 029 150.
CHANGE / WITHDRAW YOUR CONSENT
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, with effect for the future.
Once you have completely withdrawn your declarations of consent, you will no longer be contacted or receive communications for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
To withdraw your declarations of consent submitted to CENTROCAR, simply access the Consent Form again, fill in your personal details and resubmit the Consent Form, selecting the tick boxes according to your preferences. The last Consent Form submitted to CENTROCAR will take precedence over all previous ones.
The consent granted to CENTROCAR can be withdrawn via the “Unsubscribe” or “Remove subscription” link in the communications sent or by contacting us directly via email rgpd@centrocar.com (subject: GDPR) or by telephone 220 029 150.
CONTACT US TO ENFORCE YOUR DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS AND THE RIGHT TO LODGE A COMPLAINT WITH YOUR SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY

Subject to certain conditions, you may have the right to ask us to:
- we provide you with additional information about our use of your personal data;
